Services Division. Carrie has 20 years of combined experience in employee relations,

Carrie works closely with clients to identify compliance risks across the organization and
develop responsive strategies and solutions that ensure compliance and further the
overall organization goals. Carrie partners with HUB clients in various industries such as
hospitality/restaurant, medical/hospitals, manufacturing, and white-collar businesses to
identify various organizational risks and develop responsive strategic solutions.
Previously, Carrie B. Cherveny, Esq. served as the Chief Compliance Officer for the
Southeast Region of HUB International, supporting the organization’s Employee Benefits
Division. In this role, Carrie was responsible for providing compliance and consulting
services regarding general health plans, ACA, ERISA, and other legal matters involving
employee benefit programs. Most recently, Carrie was General Counsel and Vice
President for a national PEO designing and developing client compliance strategies and
solutions
While working previously as a Partner in a West Palm Beach Employment Law firm,
Carrie focused her practice in the area of employment litigation and employee relations
in both state and federal courts. She has represented private sector employers in
litigation under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FLSA, the FMLA, the Florida Civil Rights
Act, and the Florida Whistleblowers’ Acts.

Christophe Réglat founded Coaxis, a Florida corporation, based in Tallahassee, in 2002. Coaxis originated as an application service provider (ASP), offering businesses access over the Internet to applications and related services that would otherwise have to be located on their own business computers. ASP has evolved to cloud computing, and more distinctly to managed data hosting services for Coaxis.

As President and CEO, Christophe leads the Coaxis team, serving clients in all 50 states, Canada, and India. Coaxis focuses provision of its managed hosting services to the financial, healthcare, criminal justice, and legal professions. The company maintains the highest levels of security and regulatory compliance for these targeted industry sectors through the ownership and operation of Coaxis’ private, single-tenant, data center. The data center features multiple power sources, four generators, four major Internet Service Providers, and has more than 10 levels of security to access the data center.

Professionally, Christophe is recognized as an industry expert in managed data hosting and cybersecurity. He is an active Board and Executive Council member for the Florida Technology Council. Christophe serves as a member on the FBI’s Counter-Intelligence Task Force and has been invited to conduct Cybersecurity training with the FBI. Based on the FBI’s recommendation, Christophe serves as the Vice President of the Southeast Chapter of InfraGard.  InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and key members of the private sector which is designed to provide a vehicle for seamless public-private collaboration with government to expedite the timely exchange of information while also promoting mutual learning opportunities relevant to the protection of Critical Infrastructure.

Through his leadership and corporate sponsorship, Christophe has been the driving force for the inception, continued success and growth of the Astronaut Challenge, the national STEM competition for middle and high school students, held annually at the Kennedy Space Center.

In addition to leading Coaxis, Christophe has over three decades of certification and experience as a commercial pilot. As an avid aviator, Christophe enjoys flying for business and personal trips. He is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast.

Shelly Weir is President & Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA), the statewide professional association for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in Florida. In this role, Weir serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the FICPA and FICPA Scholarship Foundation and works in partnership with the FICPA Council to develop and execute the Institute’s strategic vision. Weir leads a staff of 40 professionals responsible for carrying out the missions of the FICPA and FICPA Scholarship Foundation.


Weir is actively engaged in legislative and advocacy efforts representing the CPA profession at the state and national level, serving as a Trustee for Florida TaxWatch. As a member of the Board of Trustees for the Florida Chamber Foundation, she advocates for the business and tax interests of CPAs. As President & CEO, Weir represents all Florida CPAs with the state’s Board of Accountancy and the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. As a member of the CPA Society of Association Executives, she collaborates with other association leaders to address regulatory and legislative agendas affecting CPAs across the nation. An association executive with nearly 20 years of experience, Shelly has the unique ability to foster excitement, commitment and vision in others to the benefit of the organization and its goals.


Weir began her tenure as President & CEO of FICPA in April 2021. Prior to joining FICPA, she spent 10 years with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), where she was most recently the Senior Vice President of Career Development. In this role, she designed and executed programs that delivered career advancement opportunities and competency attainment for professionals in the hotel industry. Throughout her time at AHLA, Weir represented the hotel industry on multiple task forces with the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor under Presidents Obama and Trump. She was appointed Co-Chair of the Presidential Task Force on Expanding Apprenticeship in the United States from 2017-2018. In 2020, her work was recognized by the White House with the Pledge to America’s Worker Presidential Award for
outstanding career development.


Weir earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University. She resides in Orlando with her husband and two sons and is an avid college sports fan.

Paul Brown joined the FICPA in November 1992 and is the Director of Technical Services for the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA). One of Paul’s main duties is to serve as the technical reviewer in Florida for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Program. The program administers approximately 425 reviews annually in Florida and oversees approximately 125 peer reviewers. Paul also assists members in the areas of professional ethics and professional standards. As part of his role in the peer review program Paul has previously been an instructor and author of continuing education programs for the AICPA and FICPA, for which he had received several outstanding discussion leader and author awards.

Paul has also served on the AICPA’s Technical Reviewers Advisory Task Force to the Peer Review Board and serves as staff liaison to two committees of the FICPA. Paul currently is serving in the capacity as Chair of the Audit Committee for the City of Tallahassee. Prior to joining the FICPA, Paul was an audit manager with the regional firm of Williams, Cox, Weidner & Cox (now Carr, Riggs & Ingram) in Tallahassee, Florida.
