Bill Kumm is the president of Financial Independence, LLC and an investment consultant for Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. He is responsible for developing and implementing investment and estate planning strategies for individuals and businesses. Bill has built his practice on a foundation of education for himself and his clients.

After pursuing his college education and graduating from Central Michigan University in 1987, with a major in finance, Bill moved directly into the financial services industry. For the past 30 years, he has educated thousands of individuals and business owners in personal finance through courses he has taught at colleges, public school systems and nonprofit organizations. At Financial Independence he believes educated and informed consumers will make the better decisions when it comes to their family and business decisions. It is important that a consumer understands not only the challenges of preserving their wealth but also managing the threats that can reduce their wealth.

When assessing a family or business need, it is important that consumers take a holistic approach. If one area of their plan is not addressed or neglected, it could mean the difference between success and failure. That is why Bill collaborates and works closely with legal, tax and insurance professionals to help assure that strategies not only address investment challenges and goals but manage the risks and uncertainties in life.

Bill is a registered representative and registered investment advisor representative with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. He is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Bill has Series 7, 63, 65 licenses and is licensed in life, health and disability insurance.

In his spare time Bill enjoys the outdoors with his wife and four children. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, boating and snow skiing.
