Alison Iavarone


Alison has her own consulting practice where she advises clients on unclaimed property and state and local tax matters.   Formerly, Alison worked for the State of Delaware Department of State as the Unclaimed Property VDA Administrator.     

 

Alison spent 16 years working in various Big Four accounting firms.  Alison was a Managing Director in the State and Local Tax practice of KPMGLLP where she managed the Northeast regions unclaimed property practice and unclaimed property compliance center.     

 

Alison has been accounting faculty at New York City College of Technology CUNY and Fordham University where she taught Principles of Financial, Principles of Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II and Auditing.   

 

Alison’s publications include the following:

Alison received a BS from The University of Scranton and an MBA in Accounting and MS in Taxation from Fordham University.  She is Certified Fraud Examiner, CPA licensed in New York and Maryland and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.  Alison is also a Quickbooks Online Certified Proadvisor. 

 

Alison is a member of AICPA,  NYSSCPA, ACFE and UPPO.
