Christopher Hackney has dedicated his career to helping small businesses grow through community outreach, education and obtaining financing through the Small Business Administration (SBA) lending program as an SBA Business Lending Officer for First Home Bank based in St. Petersburg, FL. His SBA knowledge and experience were fundamental in First Home Bank finishing FY 2018 as a top 10 SBA 7(a) lender in the country. Prior to his client facing role as an SBA Lender, Christopher amassed invaluable experience as an SBA loan underwriter for numerous years with a community bank based in Atlanta, GA. Christopher currently serves on the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) Public Policy Committee, which is focused on improving access to capital for minority and women-owned businesses through the SBA loan program. Christopher has been privileged to participate in many roundtable discussions focused on improving SBA International Trade Loan programs with the current SBA Region IV Administrator. He is a former collegiate athlete, who still enjoys recreational sports, camaraderie developed through teamwork and mentoring students.
