Jodi is a Partner in Hancock Askew’s Atlanta office and has over 30 years of public accounting experience. Hancock Askew & Co., LLP (HAC) is a BDO Alliance member firm. In her role, she oversees assurance and advisory services for numerous public and private companies and manages the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audit practice. Jodi specializes in audits, researching complex accounting and auditing issues, and SEC and financial reporting.

 

Jodi began her career in Chicago at Price Waterhouse after graduating from Indiana University, with highest distinction, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

 

Jodi is deeply involved in EBP community. She serves on the Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) EBP Audit Quality Center, the AICPA’s Technical Standards Committee and is conference speaker at AICPA events, including conference member for the December 2015 and 2016 EBP Regulatory Update Conference. Jodi is Chair of the 2016 Georgia Society of CPAs EBP Conference and speaking at the Florida Mega Conference in June of 2016 on EBP technical standards. She is a founding member and active participant of the BDO Alliance EBP community and a member of the Alliance’s Women’s Resource Group Leadership Team.

 

Her additional roles being Past President, current Vice-President of WIPs (Women in Pensions) in Georgia. She also holds memberships in the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).  Jodi is licensed in Georgia, Florida and Massachusetts.

 

As a resident of the Atlanta area for over 20 years, Jodi currently resides in Alpharetta with her husband. They are the proud parents of 3 Georgia Tech graduates, a son and twin daughters. Outside of work, Jodi spends most of her time with family activities and is a workout enthusiast.
