M G "Bud" Fennema CMA, CPA, Ph.D.
Bud Fennema is the Ernst & Young Professor in Accounting and Chairman of the Accounting Department at Florida State University. He received a B.S. from Indiana University, an M.B.A from the University of North Carolina, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He holds Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accounting licenses.
Prior to pursuing an academic career, he worked nine years in private and public accounting, most recently with Arthur Andersen & Co. Professor Fennema teaches managerial accounting at the undergraduate and Master’s level and seminars on behavioral accounting research at the doctoral level. He has published research studies in the area of judgment and decision making in journals such as Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory and has also published practitioner articles in the Journal of Accountancy and the Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance.
He is the Secretary/Treasurer and executive board member of the international academic organization Society for Judgment and Decision Making.
