Sherry is a Director in Grant Thornton LLP’s Fort Lauderdale office.  She has over 17 years of experience providing tax and business consulting services, specializing in state and local sales and use tax issues.  She began her career with a major international accounting firm and joined Grant Thornton in 2011.

Sherry’s client service experience includes assisting clients in tax process improvement studies, refund analysis, audit defense, voluntary disclosure negotiations, nexus studies, mergers and acquisitions, transactional consulting, product and service taxability reviews, tax account reconciliations, notice resolution, procedures documentation, ASC 450 reviews, and exemption certificate reviews.  She has worked with various operating systems and tax software programs including SAP, Oracle, and Vertex.

Sherry has extensive experience with public and private companies in numerous industries including medical, technology, information services, professional services, printing, retail, manufacturing, construction contracting, waste management, telecommunications, and utility.
